Lined Hummus
Lined Hummus (#8E6E10) is a deep amber with a jewel character. It carries the deep, saturated richness of a gemstone. Authoritative and slightly formal, it works well for type and heavy UI elements. Its HSL profile (45°, 80%, 31%) places it in the highly saturated band at a dark lightness. Best used in small doses, like logos, CTAs, focus rings, or highlight text, where its saturation becomes a feature rather than noise. Old English līne, line / cord — past-participle of line. As a color modifier, lined implies a clear-and-coordinated-and-supported quality where the hue carries the visual register of carefully-lined-and-supported textile-or-print surface. The Levantine chickpea paste — cooked chickpeas blended with tahini, lemon, and garlic. The color refers to fresh-made hummus in a bowl: a soft, slightly muted warm pale tan with the matte finish of pureed legume. Cooler than tahini, warmer than couscous.
