About interpolation spaces
Why OKLCH gradients look smoother
CSS gradients default to sRGB interpolation, which mixes the raw red, green, and blue channels. The mid-points often look muddy — a blue → yellow gradient passes through gray instead of the bright greens the eye expects.
OKLCH and OKLab interpolation walk the path the eye does. Mid-points stay vibrant, hue rotations feel natural. Both spaces are CSS-native ( in oklch clauses ship in every modern browser).
