Hemmed Vermiglione
Hemmed Vermiglione (#FECBBF) is a soft red with a pastel character. It reads calm and airy, with enough chroma to feel intentional rather than washed out. The color refers to vermiglione in a fifteenth-century altarpiece: a saturated, slightly orange red with the matte finish of egg-tempera-bound pigment. The Italian equivalent of bermellón.
