Sunlit Tabasco (#FD3357) is a true red with a neon character. It sits at the high-saturation edge of its family. Use it sparingly, as signage, accent, or highlight against darker surfaces. Old English sunne (sun) plus past-participle līehted. The Mexican state — and the brand of pepper sauce produced there since 1868 from Capsicum frutescens. Tabasco as a color refers to the bright red-orange of the famous sauce: a saturated, slightly orange red with the slight viscosity of vinegar-and-pepper extract.
