Torrid Rhodonite
Torrid Rhodonite (#FC82D0) is a soft magenta with a cool character. It leans cool, sitting on the blue, green, and violet side of the wheel. Latin torridus, parched / scorching — sharing root with torrēre (to dry by heat). Rhodonite color refers to a polished Sverdlovsk rhodonite massive specimen: a saturated, slightly cool deep magenta with the matte finish of manganese-rich silicate. The Greek genus name rhódon (rose) refers to the characteristic deep-pink color of crystalline specimens.
