Gallant Vermiglione (#FC056E) is a true magenta with a neon character. It sits at the high-saturation edge of its family. Use it sparingly, as signage, accent, or highlight against darker surfaces. The color refers to vermiglione in a fifteenth-century altarpiece: a saturated, slightly orange red with the matte finish of egg-tempera-bound pigment. The Italian equivalent of bermellón.
