Untroubled Scarlet
Untroubled Scarlet (#FACECB) is a soft red with a pastel character. It reads calm and airy, with enough chroma to feel intentional rather than washed out. From the medieval Latin scarlatum, originally a fine wool cloth rather than a color — the dye came later when the fabric was associated with the bright red of kermes-stained textiles.
