Iridescent Annatto
Iridescent Annatto (#F64190) is a true magenta with a neon character. It sits at the high-saturation edge of its family. Use it sparingly, as signage, accent, or highlight against darker surfaces. Latin Īris, rainbow — adjectival suffix -escent, named for the Greek goddess of the rainbow. Bixa orellana, the tropical shrub whose seeds yield a red-orange dye used as food coloring (in cheese, butter, and margarine) and as body paint by the Caribbean and Central American indigenous peoples.
