Untroubled Pezzottaite
Untroubled Pezzottaite (#F4A1D0) is a soft magenta with a pastel character. It reads calm and airy, with enough chroma to feel intentional rather than washed out. Its HSL profile (326°, 79%, 79%) places it in the highly saturated band at a light lightness. Best used in small doses, like logos, CTAs, focus rings, or highlight text, where its saturation becomes a feature rather than noise. Latin turbāre, to disturb — negative-prefix un- plus past-participle of trouble. As a color modifier, untroubled implies a clear-and-calm-and-undisturbed quality where the hue carries no visual agitation. Sits at the crisp-and-calm end of the grid, parallel to serene and placid in usage.
Rare cesium-bearing variety of beryl, first described from the Sakavalana mine of Madagascar in 2002. The mineral's characteristic deep-raspberry-pink color comes from manganese substitution. Pezzottaite color refers to a faceted Sakavalana pezzottaite gemstone: a saturated, slightly cool deep magenta with the glassy finish of manganese-substituted cyclosilicate. Named for Federico Pezzotta, the Italian mineralogist who first described it.
