Strobing Cyclamen (#F243AD) is a true magenta with a neon character. It sits at the high-saturation edge of its family. Use it sparingly, as signage, accent, or highlight against darker surfaces. Greek stróbos, whirling — present-participle of strobe. The genus Cyclamen — the small Mediterranean and alpine perennials whose distinctive backswept petals appear in autumn and persist through winter snow. The color refers to a fresh deep-pink Cyclamen persicum hybrid: a saturated, slightly cool deep pink-magenta with the satiny finish of swept-back petal form. Cooler than peony, warmer than fuchsia, with the cool-weather garden weight of a flower that blooms when most others have gone dormant.
