Elfin Lemonade
Elfin Lemonade (#EFFBDD) is a soft lime with a pastel character. It reads calm and airy, with enough chroma to feel intentional rather than washed out. Its HSL profile (84°, 79%, 93%) places it in the highly saturated band at a light lightness. Best used in small doses, like logos, CTAs, focus rings, or highlight text, where its saturation becomes a feature rather than noise. Old English ælf, elf — adjectival suffix -in. As a color modifier, elfin implies a pale-and-small-and-mischievous-magical quality, the pale color of Tolkien-and-Lord-of-the-Rings and Pre-Raphaelite-painting elf-and-supernatural fey-and-magical iconography. Sits at the pale-and-ethereal end of the grid, parallel to fairylike and sylphine in usage.
