Ironed Edomurasaki (#EEBBF0) is a soft violet with a pastel character. It reads calm and airy, with enough chroma to feel intentional rather than washed out. Its HSL profile (298°, 64%, 84%) places it in the balanced band at a light lightness. It works as a background wash, large-area fill, or soft illustration tone. Old English īsern, iron — past-participle of iron. As a color modifier, ironed implies a clear-and-smoothed-and-pressed quality, the crisp color of Mid-Century-Modern freshly-ironed-shirt-and-trouser dress-attire textile finish. Edomurasaki color refers to a kabuki actor's Sukeroku role costume: a saturated, slightly cool deep violet with the silk luster of multi-bath gromwell-root dye on lined silk crepe.
