Manorial Abricot
Manorial Abricot (#EC4F13) is a true orange with a neon character. It sits at the high-saturation edge of its family. Use it sparingly, as signage, accent, or highlight against darker surfaces. Latin manōrium, dwelling — adjectival suffix -al, derived from manēre (to remain). As a color modifier, manorial implies a saturated-and-aristocratic-and-rural quality, the deep-rich color of pre-modern English manor-house livery-and-tapestry tradition. Sits at the bold-and-aristocratic end of the grid, parallel to lordly and patrician.
The French word for apricot — Prunus armeniaca, the stone fruit cultivated in the south of France for compote and tarte aux abricots.
