Lit Tǔ
Lit Tǔ (#EBBE21) is a true amber with a vibrant character. It holds its own as a focal accent, carrying visual weight without tipping into neon territory. Best used in small doses, like logos, CTAs, focus rings, or highlight text, where its saturation becomes a feature rather than noise. The past participle of light — short and modern. Used as a color word since the late twentieth century for hues that read as if they were illuminated. The Chinese word for earth — the warm yellow-tan of loess soils that defined the cradle of Chinese civilization in the Yellow River valley. The color refers to fresh loess in late-autumn light: a soft, slightly muted warm yellow-tan with the matte finish of fine wind-blown sediment.
