Aligned Malina
Aligned Malina (#EBA1CC) is a soft magenta with a pastel character. It reads calm and airy, with enough chroma to feel intentional rather than washed out. Its HSL profile (325°, 65%, 78%) places it in the balanced band at a light lightness. It works as a background wash, large-area fill, or soft illustration tone. Add a darker ink of the same hue when you need type over it. For a confident two-color system, pair it with its complementary teal. French à-ligne, to-line-up — past-participle of align. As a color modifier, aligned implies a clear-and-axis-coordinated quality where the hue carries the visual register of carefully-parallel-arranged elements. Polish and Russian for raspberry (Rubus idaeus) — the deep-magenta aggregate-drupe of European raspberry, the iconic summer-fruit of Polish Wileńskie-region forests. Malina color refers to a freshly picked Rubus idaeus aggregate-drupe-cluster: a saturated, slightly cool deep magenta with the matte finish of anthocyanin-rich raspberry-flesh on aggregate drupelets. The Slavic root mal- refers to the small individual drupelet structure.
