Parchment Endive
Parchment Endive (#EAFADD) is a soft lime with a pastel character. It reads calm and airy, with enough chroma to feel intentional rather than washed out. Its HSL profile (93°, 74%, 92%) places it in the balanced band at a light lightness. It works as a background wash, large-area fill, or soft illustration tone. Add a darker ink of the same hue when you need type over it. For a confident two-color system, pair it with its complementary indigo. Old French parchemin, parchment — adjectival usage of parchment. Sits at the pale-and-thin end of the grid, parallel to vellum and glassine in usage.
Cichorium endivia, the slightly bitter European chicory cultivated as a salad green since Egyptian times. The color refers to the inner leaves of a head of curly endive or escarole: a soft, slightly yellow-shifted green with the matte finish of dewy lettuce.
