Pressed Sicily
Pressed Sicily (#E6F6A8) is a soft yellow with a pastel character. It reads calm and airy, with enough chroma to feel intentional rather than washed out. Latin pressāre, to press — past-participle of press. As a color modifier, pressed implies a clear-and-smoothed-and-flattened quality, the crisp color of Mid-Century-Modern freshly-pressed-shirt-and-trouser ironed-textile finish. Sits at the crisp-and-finished end of the grid, parallel to ironed and starched in usage.

Sicily as a color refers to the inside of a Sicilian Femminello lemon cut against a market-stall backdrop: a saturated, slightly cool deep yellow with the optical brightness of high-water-content citrus.
