Truthful Amalfi
Truthful Amalfi (#E6EDA9) is a soft yellow with a pastel character. It reads calm and airy, with enough chroma to feel intentional rather than washed out. Its HSL profile (66°, 65%, 80%) places it in the balanced band at a light lightness. It works as a background wash, large-area fill, or soft illustration tone. Add a darker ink of the same hue when you need type over it. For a confident two-color system, pair it with its complementary blue. Etymology
Old English trēowth, truth — adjectival suffix -ful. As a color modifier, truthful implies a clear-and-honest-and-direct quality where the hue carries the visual register of accurate-and-faithful-representation declaration. The Italian Mediterranean coast — and the lemon-yellow of Amalfi Sfusato lemons (twice the size of common lemons, used in limoncello). Amalfi refers to a fresh Sfusato lemon at midday on the Tyrrhenian coast: a saturated, slightly cool yellow with the satin finish of citrus rind. Brighter than limone.
