Aglow Brazilianite
Aglow Brazilianite (#E6C00D) is a true amber with a neon character. It sits at the high-saturation edge of its family. Use it sparingly, as signage, accent, or highlight against darker surfaces. Its HSL profile (49°, 89%, 48%) places it in the highly saturated band at a mid lightness. Best used in small doses, like logos, CTAs, focus rings, or highlight text, where its saturation becomes a feature rather than noise. For a confident two-color system, pair it with its complementary blue. For something softer, pull in its analogous neighbors on either side of the wheel.
Etymology
Old English on-glōwan, on-glow — sharing root with glow and gleam. As a color modifier, aglow implies a saturated-and-lit-from-within quality, the bright color of fireplace-and-jack-o-lantern interior-glow-lit warm-light emission against ambient darkness. Sits at the bright-and-warm end of the grid, parallel to glowing and aflame in usage.
A sodium-aluminum phosphate gem — yellow-green, mined principally in the Minas Gerais region of Brazil for which it is named. The color refers to a faceted Brazilian brazilianite: a saturated, slightly cool yellow-green with the gem's signature internal warmth. Cooler than citrine, brighter than apatite.
