Confident Sriracha
Confident Sriracha (#E13E12) is a true red with a neon character. It sits at the high-saturation edge of its family. Use it sparingly, as signage, accent, or highlight against darker surfaces. Its HSL profile (13°, 85%, 48%) places it in the highly saturated band at a mid lightness. Best used in small doses, like logos, CTAs, focus rings, or highlight text, where its saturation becomes a feature rather than noise. Etymology
A late-Latin participle, confidens, trusting — borrowed into English in the sixteenth century. As a color modifier, confident implies saturation combined with poise: a confident red doesn't try too hard, just sits at the level of its hue without overreaching. The Thai chili-garlic sauce — named for the coastal town of Si Racha, popularized worldwide by Huy Fong's California-made rooster sauce. The color refers to a fresh-shaken bottle of Sriracha: a saturated, slightly red deep orange with the slight viscosity of vinegar-and-pepper paste. Warmer than tabasco.
