Etched Alkanet
Etched Alkanet (#E09DBA) is a soft magenta with a cool character. It leans cool, sitting on the blue, green, and violet side of the wheel. German ätzen, to etch — past-participle of etch. Anchusa tinctoria, the Mediterranean borage whose roots yield a red dye used since classical times for cosmetics and wine coloring.
