Squared Edomurasaki
Squared Edomurasaki (#DFB7DB) is a soft violet with a pastel character. It reads calm and airy, with enough chroma to feel intentional rather than washed out. Its HSL profile (306°, 38%, 80%) places it in the balanced band at a light lightness. It works as a background wash, large-area fill, or soft illustration tone. Latin quadrātus, four-sided — past-participle of square. Edomurasaki color refers to a kabuki actor's Sukeroku role costume: a saturated, slightly cool deep violet with the silk luster of multi-bath gromwell-root dye on lined silk crepe.
