Antiseptic Khorasan
Antiseptic Khorasan (#DFAEDC) is a soft violet with a pastel character. It reads calm and airy, with enough chroma to feel intentional rather than washed out. Its HSL profile (304°, 43%, 78%) places it in the balanced band at a light lightness. It works as a background wash, large-area fill, or soft illustration tone. Greek anti- (against) plus sēptikós (putrefying) — adjectival suffix -ic. Khorasan color refers to a Safavid Khorasan-school silk court robe: a saturated, slightly cool deep violet with the silk luster of multi-bath gromwell-root-and-indigo overdye on woven Iranian silk.
