Blanched Calendula
Blanched Calendula (#DEC6B4) is a soft orange with a pastel character. It reads calm and airy, with enough chroma to feel intentional rather than washed out. French blanchir, to whiten — past-participle of blanch. Calendula officinalis, the pot marigold of medieval European herbal gardens — used as a saffron substitute in Renaissance kitchens and as a wound-healing salve in Victorian apothecaries.
