Tailored Pumice
Tailored Pumice (#D8D8CB) is a soft yellow with a pastel character. It reads calm and airy, with enough chroma to feel intentional rather than washed out. Old French tailleor, cutter — past-participle of tailor. Pumice color refers to a freshly cleaved Pompeii-Pumice pyroclastic-flow deposit face: a pale cool gray with the matte finish of cooling-rate-quenched highly-vesicular silicic-magma-glass with the characteristic pumice-stone macroporosity.
