Sifted Rhodonite
Sifted Rhodonite (#D6BDC8) is a soft magenta with a pastel character. It reads calm and airy, with enough chroma to feel intentional rather than washed out. Its HSL profile (334°, 23%, 79%) places it in the muted band at a light lightness. It works as a background wash, large-area fill, or soft illustration tone. Old English siftan, to sift — past-participle of sift. As a color modifier, sifted implies a pale-and-fine-particle-and-uniformly-distributed quality, the pale color of baker's sifted-and-fine-flour finely-distributed-and-uniform-deposit surface-finish.
