Pure Morganite
Pure Morganite (#D52AB9) is a true magenta with a vibrant character. It holds its own as a focal accent, carrying visual weight without tipping into neon territory. Etymology
Latin purus, clean, unmixed — applied to color since antiquity for hues that contain only one pigment without dilution by white, black, or another color. Pure red is the textbook ideal: high saturation, mid lightness, no shift. Sits at the bold-bucket center, parallel to true and strong.
Pink variety of the cyclosilicate beryl — first described from the San Piero in Campo deposits of Elba in 1911 and named for the financier J.P. Morgan. Morganite color refers to a faceted San Piero morganite gemstone: a saturated, slightly cool deep magenta with the glassy finish of cesium-and-manganese-substituted beryl.
