Clean Hara
Clean Hara (#CFFCAC) is a soft lime with a pastel character. It reads calm and airy, with enough chroma to feel intentional rather than washed out. Its HSL profile (94°, 93%, 83%) places it in the highly saturated band at a light lightness. Best used in small doses, like logos, CTAs, focus rings, or highlight text, where its saturation becomes a feature rather than noise. For a confident two-color system, pair it with its complementary indigo. For something softer, pull in its analogous neighbors on either side of the wheel.
Etymology
Old English clǣne, pure, free of dirt — used as a color modifier since the medieval period for hues that read as crisp and uncontaminated by other pigments. Clean white, clean blue: moderate saturation combined with optical clarity. Sits at the crisp-bucket center alongside clear and true.
The Hindi word for green — used for the saturated lime-green of fresh hara dhaniya (cilantro), hara mirch (green chili), and the hara saag leafy-green dishes of North Indian cooking. The color refers to fresh hara dhaniya leaves: a saturated, slightly cool yellow-green with the matte finish of fresh cilantro leaf.
