Trim Marjoram
Trim Marjoram (#CEFCB1) is a soft lime with a pastel character. It reads calm and airy, with enough chroma to feel intentional rather than washed out. Its HSL profile (97°, 93%, 84%) places it in the highly saturated band at a light lightness. Best used in small doses, like logos, CTAs, focus rings, or highlight text, where its saturation becomes a feature rather than noise. Old English trymman, to make firm — sharing root with firm. As a color modifier, trim implies a clear-and-neatly-arranged quality where the hue carries the visual register of carefully-edited surface-detail. Sits at the crisp-and-neat end of the grid, parallel to neat and tidy in usage.
Origanum majorana, the Mediterranean culinary herb related to oregano — sweeter, milder, used in French Provence herb mixes and traditional Roman sausages. The color refers to fresh-picked marjoram leaves: a soft, slightly muted yellow-green with the matte finish of small mint-family leaves. Cooler than oregano.
