Stroked Curaçao
Stroked Curaçao (#CBECFD) is a soft azure with a pastel character. It reads calm and airy, with enough chroma to feel intentional rather than washed out. Its HSL profile (200°, 93%, 89%) places it in the highly saturated band at a light lightness. Best used in small doses, like logos, CTAs, focus rings, or highlight text, where its saturation becomes a feature rather than noise. Old English strācian, to stroke — past-participle of stroke. As a color modifier, stroked implies a pale-and-light-and-tender-touching quality where the hue carries the visual register of cat-and-pet slow-and-gentle hand-on-fur tactile-and-tender movement. Sits at the pale-and-soft end of the grid, parallel to caressed and brushed in usage.
The Caribbean liqueur made from the dried peel of the Citrus aurantium currassuviensis (Laraha orange) — produced on the Dutch Caribbean island of Curaçao since 1896. Blue Curaçao refers to the artificially-colored bright blue variant: a saturated, slightly cool electric blue with the optical clarity of citrus liqueur.
