Folded Sunbird (#CAEDB2) is a soft lime with a pastel character. It reads calm and airy, with enough chroma to feel intentional rather than washed out. Its HSL profile (96°, 62%, 81%) places it in the balanced band at a light lightness. It works as a background wash, large-area fill, or soft illustration tone. Old English fealdan, to fold — past-participle of fold. The family Nectariniidae — Old World sunbirds, the ecological equivalent of New World hummingbirds. The color refers to a male sunbird's gorget: a saturated, slightly cool deep green with the iridescent satin finish of structural color.
