Wisp Borneo
Wisp Borneo (#CAE2C8) is a soft green with a pastel character. It reads calm and airy, with enough chroma to feel intentional rather than washed out. Etymology
Middle English wisp, small bundle — used as a color modifier since the seventeenth century for hues that read as barely-present or evanescent. Wisp white, wisp pink: very low saturation combined with the optical impression of something just barely there. Sits at the pale-bucket extreme alongside faint.
The Southeast Asian island — and the saturated deep green of Borneo rainforest, home to one of the world's three remaining great-ape populations (Pongo pygmaeus, the Bornean orangutan). Borneo color refers to a Sarawak jungle canopy: a saturated, slightly cool deep green with the matte finish of dense tropical foliage.
