Reposeful Spinach
Reposeful Spinach (#C7FAA0) is a soft lime with a pastel character. It reads calm and airy, with enough chroma to feel intentional rather than washed out. Its HSL profile (94°, 90%, 80%) places it in the highly saturated band at a light lightness. Best used in small doses, like logos, CTAs, focus rings, or highlight text, where its saturation becomes a feature rather than noise. Latin repōnere, to put back — adjectival suffix -ful. As a color modifier, reposeful implies a clear-and-restful-and-still quality, the calm color of pre-modern monastic cloister-and-refectory meditative-and-silent interior architecture. Spinacia oleracea, the Persian leaf cultivated in China and the Mediterranean since the seventh century, popularized in twentieth-century America by Popeye and a misplaced decimal point in an iron-content study. The color refers to fresh raw spinach leaves: a saturated, slightly yellow-shifted green with the matte finish of a crinkled-savoy leaf.
