Spangled Prehnite
Spangled Prehnite (#BDFCA5) is a soft green with a pastel character. It reads calm and airy, with enough chroma to feel intentional rather than washed out. Best used in small doses, like logos, CTAs, focus rings, or highlight text, where its saturation becomes a feature rather than noise. Middle Dutch spange, clasp / metal-disc — past-participle of spangle. As a color modifier, spangled implies a saturated-and-multi-point-reflective quality, the bright color of American-flag-stars and sequined-fabric metallic-disc-and-jewel-decoration. Sits at the bright-and-reflective end of the grid, parallel to glittering and sequined in usage.
A calcium-aluminum silicate gem — yellow-green, often translucent, mined principally in Australia, Mali, and Scotland. The color refers to a polished Australian prehnite cabochon: a soft, slightly cool yellow-green with the cloudy translucency of low-grade gem material. Cooler than peridot.
