Heroic Papaya
Heroic Papaya (#BD3805) is a true orange with a jewel character. It carries the deep, saturated richness of a gemstone. Authoritative and slightly formal, it works well for type and heavy UI elements. Its HSL profile (17°, 95%, 38%) places it in the highly saturated band at a mid lightness. Best used in small doses, like logos, CTAs, focus rings, or highlight text, where its saturation becomes a feature rather than noise. Latin hēroicus, of a hero — derived from Greek hērōs. Carica papaya, the tropical fruit of Mesoamerica and now a global breakfast staple. The color refers to the inside of a ripe papaya: a saturated, slightly pink orange with the soft texture of melon. Brighter than salmon, warmer than coral, with the distinctive coral-orange that papain — the fruit's signature enzyme — extracts and sells as meat tenderizer.
