Sheer Tit
Sheer Tit (#BBD1C7) is a soft teal with a pastel character. It reads calm and airy, with enough chroma to feel intentional rather than washed out. Its HSL profile (153°, 19%, 78%) places it in the muted band at a light lightness. It works as a background wash, large-area fill, or soft illustration tone. Etymology
Old English scīr, clear, pure — used as a color modifier since the eighteenth century for hues with the optical translucency of fine fabric. Sheer white, sheer blue: very low saturation combined with the optical impression of fabric with low fiber density. Sits at the pale-bucket alongside diaphanous.
The family Paridae — small woodland songbirds — particularly Cyanistes caeruleus (Eurasian blue tit) whose males display turquoise crowns and yellow underparts. The color refers to a male blue tit's crown: a saturated, slightly cool deep blue-green with the satin finish of structural-and-pigment feather color.
