Cleansed Aizome
Cleansed Aizome (#B8CAFD) is a soft azure with a pastel character. It reads calm and airy, with enough chroma to feel intentional rather than washed out. Best used in small doses, like logos, CTAs, focus rings, or highlight text, where its saturation becomes a feature rather than noise. The Japanese traditional indigo-dyeing technique — aizome — using Persicaria tinctoria (Japanese indigo) and natural fermentation in clay vats. The dyer is called aishi (indigo master), trained over decades. The color refers to a freshly aizome-dyed cotton: a saturated, slightly cool deep blue with the matte finish of multi-bath natural-indigo dye.
