Genuine Stichtite
Genuine Stichtite (#B79AE9) is a soft indigo with a cool character. It leans cool, sitting on the blue, green, and violet side of the wheel. Etymology
Latin genuinus, natural, innate — used as a color modifier since the sixteenth century for hues that read as authentic rather than imitated. Stichtite color refers to a polished Dundas stichtite-and-serpentine cabochon: a saturated, slightly cool deep violet with the silky finish of fibrous magnesium-chromium hydroxide-carbonate. The mineral is the chromium-substituted analog of brugnatellite, valued in lapidary work for its banded color.
