Sunlit Redwood
Sunlit Redwood (#B2FCA3) is a soft green with a pastel character. It reads calm and airy, with enough chroma to feel intentional rather than washed out. Its HSL profile (110°, 94%, 81%) places it in the highly saturated band at a light lightness. Best used in small doses, like logos, CTAs, focus rings, or highlight text, where its saturation becomes a feature rather than noise. Etymology
Old English sunne (sun) plus past-participle līehted. As a color modifier, sunlit implies a saturated-and-direct-sunlight-illuminated quality, the bright color of southern-Mediterranean and Greek-island afternoon-sun direct-illumination surface emission. Sits at the bright-and-warm end of the grid, parallel to radiant and brilliant in usage.
Sequoia sempervirens, the coast redwood — the tallest tree species on Earth, native to the coastal fog belt of northern California. Redwood color refers to mature redwood needle foliage: a saturated, slightly cool deep green with the matte finish of fog-adapted needle foliage. Cooler than sequoia.
