Drafted Niloo
Drafted Niloo (#AFCCE8) is a soft azure with a pastel character. It reads calm and airy, with enough chroma to feel intentional rather than washed out. Old English draht, draft — past-participle of draft. The Persian word for indigo plant — borrowed from Sanskrit nīla (dark blue). Niloo names the plant Indigofera tinctoria in Persian and the saturated deep blue dye it produces. The color refers to a freshly niloo-dyed Persian carpet: a saturated, slightly cool deep blue with the matte finish of plant-and-mordant dye.
