Ironed Elaeagnus
Ironed Elaeagnus (#ADFEDC) is a soft teal with a pastel character. It reads calm and airy, with enough chroma to feel intentional rather than washed out. Old English īsern, iron — past-participle of iron. The genus Elaeagnus — silverberry, the Asian and Mediterranean shrubs with silver-undersided leaves used as windbreak and ornamental hedge. The color refers to mature E. angustifolia (Russian olive) foliage in summer: a soft, slightly cool silver-green-blue with the satin finish of scaled leaf surface that distinguishes the underside.
