Voluptuous Marrakech (#AC2F04) is a true orange with a jewel character. It carries the deep, saturated richness of a gemstone. Authoritative and slightly formal, it works well for type and heavy UI elements. Its HSL profile (15°, 95%, 35%) places it in the highly saturated band at a mid lightness. Best used in small doses, like logos, CTAs, focus rings, or highlight text, where its saturation becomes a feature rather than noise. Etymology
Latin voluptuōsus, pleasurable — derived from voluptās (pleasure). As a color modifier, voluptuous implies a saturated-and-rich-and-curving-sensual quality, the deep-rich color of Rubens-and-Boucher baroque-and-rococo flesh-and-fabric tonality. Sits at the bold-and-saturated end of the grid, parallel to lush and plush in tone.
The Moroccan city — its medieval walls limewashed in ocre rouge, the iron-rich earth that gives the city its nickname the Red City. Marrakech refers to the south-facing facade of the Koutoubia Mosque at sunset: a saturated, slightly muted deep orange-pink with the matte finish of clay-and-lime wall paint.
