Prismatic Beech
Prismatic Beech (#ABFEA3) is a soft green with a pastel character. It reads calm and airy, with enough chroma to feel intentional rather than washed out. Best used in small doses, like logos, CTAs, focus rings, or highlight text, where its saturation becomes a feature rather than noise. Etymology
Greek prísma, prism — adjectival suffix -ic. As a color modifier, prismatic implies a saturated-and-multi-spectrum-decomposed quality, the bright color of crystal-prism and cut-glass-chandelier light-refraction-spectrum decomposition. Sits at the bright-and-shifting end of the grid, parallel to iridescent and spectral in usage.
The genus Fagus — particularly F. sylvatica, the European beech — a deciduous tree whose smooth gray bark and golden-green spring foliage define European temperate woodland. The color refers to fresh beech foliage in May: a saturated, slightly yellow yellow-green with the satin finish of new leaf surface.
