Easy Pansy

Viola × wittrockiana, the cultivated garden pansy bred in the nineteenth century from wild Viola tricolor. Cooler than amethyst, warmer than indigo, with the cottage-garden weight of a flower that overwinters in mild climates and blooms when nothing else does.
