Squared Umbria
Squared Umbria (#A58413) is a true amber with a jewel character. It carries the deep, saturated richness of a gemstone. Latin quadrātus, four-sided — past-participle of square. As a color modifier, squared implies a clear-and-rectilinear-and-orthogonal quality where the hue carries the visual register of right-angle architectural-and-grid alignment. The Italian region — and the terra di Siena and terra d'ombra (umber) earth pigments mined there since the Renaissance.
