Forthright Erythrite
Forthright Erythrite (#9F1590) is a true violet with a jewel character. It carries the deep, saturated richness of a gemstone. Authoritative and slightly formal, it works well for type and heavy UI elements. Its HSL profile (307°, 77%, 35%) places it in the highly saturated band at a mid lightness. Best used in small doses, like logos, CTAs, focus rings, or highlight text, where its saturation becomes a feature rather than noise. Old English forð-riht, straight ahead, direct. Used as a color modifier in Anglo-Saxon-revival contexts for hues that read as honest and unguarded. Erythrite color refers to a freshly fractured Schneeberg erythrite crystal cluster: a saturated, slightly cool deep violet with the matte finish of acicular hydrated cobalt-arsenate crystals. Named for the Greek erythros (red), though the mineral is purple-violet.
