Trim Marrakech
Trim Marrakech (#9C5007) is a deep orange with a jewel character. It carries the deep, saturated richness of a gemstone. Authoritative and slightly formal, it works well for type and heavy UI elements. Its HSL profile (29°, 91%, 32%) places it in the highly saturated band at a dark lightness. Best used in small doses, like logos, CTAs, focus rings, or highlight text, where its saturation becomes a feature rather than noise. Old English trymman, to make firm — sharing root with firm. As a color modifier, trim implies a clear-and-neatly-arranged quality where the hue carries the visual register of carefully-edited surface-detail. Sits at the crisp-and-neat end of the grid, parallel to neat and tidy in usage.
The Moroccan city — its medieval walls limewashed in ocre rouge, the iron-rich earth that gives the city its nickname the Red City. Marrakech refers to the south-facing facade of the Koutoubia Mosque at sunset: a saturated, slightly muted deep orange-pink with the matte finish of clay-and-lime wall paint. Cooler than terracotta, warmer than copper.
