Hyper Bì
Hyper Bì (#99F89B) is a soft green with a pastel character. It reads calm and airy, with enough chroma to feel intentional rather than washed out. Etymology
Greek hyper, over / beyond — sharing root with Latin super. As a color modifier, hyper implies a saturated-and-over-the-top-active quality where the hue exceeds normal visual amplitude with maximum-stimulation register. Sits at the bright-and-over-active end of the grid, parallel to manic and frenetic in usage.
The Chinese word for bluish-green jade — used for the deepest, most saturated jade-green color and the green of bì-yù (jadeite). The color refers to a polished imperial bì-yù cabochon: a saturated, slightly cool deep green-blue with the satin finish of fine jade. Cooler than midori.
