Polished Boleite (#98ADDE) is a soft azure with a cool character. It leans cool, sitting on the blue, green, and violet side of the wheel. Latin polīre, to polish — past-participle of polish. A rare lead-copper-silver chloride mineral — mined principally at the Boleo deposits of Baja California (the source of its name). Highly fragile and rarely cut as a gem. The color refers to a fresh boleite specimen: a saturated, slightly cool deep blue with the metallic-gray-glossy finish of crystallized chloride mineral.
