Engraved Sansho
Engraved Sansho (#97A678) is a true lime with a cool character. It leans cool, sitting on the blue, green, and violet side of the wheel. Etymology
Old French engraver, to dig in — past-participle of engrave. As a color modifier, engraved implies a clear-and-precisely-cut quality, the crisp color of Albrecht-Dürer-and-Hogarth hand-pulled engraving-print fine-line incised-image. Zanthoxylum piperitum, the Japanese sansho pepper — related to Sichuan peppercorn, with citrus-tinted numbing flavor used in unagi glazes and the spice mix shichimi tōgarashi. The color refers to fresh-ground sansho powder in a small ceramic bowl: a saturated, slightly cool yellow-green with the matte finish of dried citrus-family seed.
